But regardless of this fact, the United States has attempted to employ this technique in its counter-terror and espionage efforts dating back as early as World War II. And as long as this has been present in has been a point of contention and discussion amongst the American populace, as this country has well documented accounts of this throughout their history that include: the internment of Japanese-Americans in WWII, the profiling of minorities and low-income areas during the War on Drugs,†¦show more content†¦This was not the first time that a racial make-up was used to classify and compartmentalize a possible threat to the nation. (Elliott, 2006). The earliest example of racial profiling would be during the Japanese internment Executive Order 9066 was a United States presidential order signed and issued during World War II by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 19th, 1942. The order authorized â€Å"Secretary of War, and the Military Commanders whom he may from time to time designate† to prescribe certain areas as military zones, clearing the way for the removal, relocation and incarceration of Japanese, German, and Italian Americans to internment camps. During this time racial profiling was used as a mode of creating suspicion and investigation, and this was highlighted in the case of Korematsu v. United States, 323 U.S. 214. The case involved a man named Fred Korematsu, Mr. Korematsu was a Japanese American citizen living in San Leandro, California who, when commanded to enter one of two Japanese internment camps, declined to leave his town. Korematsu refused to do so based on the claim that the Executive Ord er violated his personal rights and was unconstitutional as it violated the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Everyone needs their good sleep so they can stay focused, interactive, and productive while at work or school. In this study, we wanted to see if sleep patterns influence the subject’s social interactions. Many college students and adults working need to have a decent amount of sleep for the next day to be productive. By giving 2 groups 2 different sleep schedules and then testing them in a social setting, we can see if there is an effect of sleep on social functions. The control group would be placed in a normal sleep setting and be strictly held to 8 hours of sleep. The experimental group would be woken up every hour for 8 hours. Charles Manson had strange powers of persuading people to follow him that is where The Family was created a name given by the media, they would live in many places, doing different activities and following every word he said. The intriguing part of it all it that Charles Manson never actually killed anyone, it was his followers who did his dirty work for him. When the man refused, I picked a razor blade up off the floor and said ‘If we get caught, I’ll tell them I made you do it. ’ So he let me do it, Manson added. Maybe he thought I was going to cut him and that Sex to me is like going to the toilet. Whether it’s a girl or not. It doesn’t matter. I don’t play that girl-guy s.. t. I’m not hung up in that game. The theories that would explain Charles Manson behavior is the learning , social disorganization, classical and positivist . The learning theory would explain family interaction, environmental experiences, and mass media. This theory was introduced to Charles Manson since he was a child he did not interact well with his family he could not trust anybody, his grandmother did not want him nor did his uncles, he did not have anyone to turn his back to and the crimes he saw he wanted imitate. He learned the behavior of a master mind criminal, he would dominate his followers and influence them to commit crimes for him. Social Disorganization theory explains the education, family, community organizations, and business for Charles Manson it all started with Kathleen Maddox his mother who plays the biggest role in his life being the person who rejected Manson in a early stage of his life, Kathleen Maddox was to young and immature to raise a child on her own, she was a prostitute and alcoholic. Kathleen Maddox went to jail for armed robbery this is what influenced Charles to commit crimes. Manson had no stable place to live he went from foster home to another then to jail and multiple other juvenile detentions he escaped them all just to go find that one person who would understand him, he wanted to be loved, to have a stable family but that never happened for him, one of his sons committed suicide for unknown reasons. The community and what it represented to Charles Manson is still a mistery because he does not want to talk about it, there is no details of him having a best friend or playing around with the kids in his neighborhood as the average kid would, Manson was always on the move from one state to the other, there is also no details of the education Charles Manson was exposed to. The classical theory is also know as the choice theory and everything Manson did he thought about it, he manipulated weak minded individuals by showing them a father figure, he choose not to commit the crime of killing multiple people but to send his followers instead, every time he ran away from jail he made those chooses on his own no body forced him to do it, he shows no remorse towards anything he did in his life because he is used to seeing crime, he choose not to change his ways of thinking even at his current age of seventy-nine were he is still shocking people. The positivist theory also know as the biological and psychological theory which is best explained as survival mood Charles Manson always had a especial value to life he wanted to live like it was his last day he made sure that his followers did the same, he wanted to keep living and giving out that love he never had, he strove to have a stable family he was married twice but it did not work out for him as his two ex wives left him, he also saw music as a way to relax himself he liked to sing and wanted his followers to sing his songs his favorite musical instrument was the guitar one that he enjoyed playing while in prison. In conclusion Charles Manson is  a very interesting individual his ways of controlling people to commit horrible crimes, sliding through the prison system, he still has followers till this day there are even pro Charles Manson websites that show love towards him, he now has a twenty-five year old girlfriend currently in prison and keeping the truth to himself he says this to Erik Hedegaard Ive always been pretty truthful with myself, as much as I can be under the circumstances, Manson says later. But Ill never tell on nobody, not even me, man, so thats why I aint never told nobody what really happened back then. I cant tell you right now. It wouldnt work if I did tell you, because it would change by morning. Everything is constantly changing, man. The mind is a universal thing. All these mentioned would explain the reason why Charles Manson became a cold hearted criminal.

Bathing in natural springs has long been considered a healthy thing to do, and mineral water was said to have curative powers. Scientists soon discovered that gas carbonium or carbon dioxide was behind the bubbles in natural mineral water. The first marketed soft drinks (non-carbonated) appeared in the 17th century. They were made from water and lemon juice sweetened with honey. In 1676, the Compagnie de Limonadiers of Paris was granted a monopoly for the sale of lemonade soft drinks. Vendors would carry tanks of lemonade on their backs and dispensed cups of the soft drink to thirsty Parisians. Joseph Priestley In 1767, the first drinkable man-made glass of carbonated water was created by Englishman Doctor Joseph Priestley. Three years later, Swedish chemist Torbern Bergman invented a generating apparatus that made carbonated water from chalk by the use of sulfuric acid. Automatic Production of Glass Bottles In 1899, the first patent was issued for a glass-blowing machine for the automatic production of glass bottles. Earlier glass bottles had all been hand-blown.
